CLEAN. SAFE. BEAUTIFUL.
WHAT WE DO
The Harrisburg Downtown Improvement District is a non-profit organization that provides services to make downtown cleaner, safer, and more beautiful.
The HDID works to maintain an environment that promotes return visitors and increased business.
We also operate the visitors information center, offering brochures and information about the Harrisburg region. The visitors information center is located at 22 North 2nd St., open Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Harrisburg Downtown Improvement District (DID) received a $5,000 donation from the PA Skill Games to organize the upcoming Harrisburg St. Patrick’s Parade. The parade is a community event that features marching bands, Irish dance groups, floats, and more, and brings the entire Harrisburg area together to enjoy the festivities.
The DID would also like to thank their sponsors, The Brick Haus and Zembie’s Sports Tavern, for helping make this event possible. Accepting the check is DID executive director, Todd Vander Woude, along with Harrisburg Mayor Eric Papenfuse, Zembie’s owner Angelo Karagiannis, and Long Nyquist associate, John Gower.
